Editor’s Note: Phillylacrosse.com honors the boys’ players from Philly for the 2011 season. The All-Phillylacrosse.com teams were chosen after much discussion with coaches and other media members. The major considerations were player performance and how much the players helped their teams succeed. Tomorrow: Defensemen, LSM

All-Phillylacrosse.com 2011: Boys’ Midfielders

Eric Gartner, Great Valley, Senior
US Lacrosse All-American, All-EPSLA, Ches-Mont League First Team … Had 63 goals and 30 assists … Led Patriots to District 1 playoffs … Signed with Villanova.

Jeff Heath, St. Joseph’s Prep, Senior
US Lacrosse All-American, All-EPSLA, Catholic League First Team … Had 50 goals … Led Hawks to Catholic League title and berth in PIAA finals … Signed with Delaware.

Dan Kinek, Emmaus, Senior

All-EPSLA, Lehigh Valley Conference First Team and MVP … Helped Hornets win league championship …Had 70 goals and 24 assists …Will spend PG year at Avon Old Farms (CT).

Brendan McGrath, Haverford School, Senior
Under Armour, US Lacrosse All-American, All-EPSLA, Inter-Ac First Team… Had 31 goals … Led Fords to perfect 23-0 season, Inter-Ac League and Invitational crowns and top ranking in every national poll … Had tryout with U-19 team … Committed to Princeton.

Julius Mouser, Shipley School, Senior
US Lacrosse All-American, All-EPSLA, Friends Schools League First Team… Had 69 goals and 32 assists … Led Gators to Friends League championship and berth in Inter-Ac Invitational quarterfinals … Was All-Tourney at Inter-Ac Invitational… Set school career marks with 200 goals, 301 points… Signed with Rutgers.

Will McNamara, Haverford School, Junior
US Lacrosse All-American, All-EPSLA, Inter-Ac First Team … Led Fords to perfect 23-0 season, Inter-Ac League and Invitational crowns and top ranking in every national poll … Played on Philly Under Armour Underclassmen team … Had tryout with U-19 team … Committed to Virginia.
