Phillylacrosse.com Girls’ Team Honorable Mention Coaches of the Year for 2011:
Caitlin Barbakoff, Downingtown East: Led Cougars (25-2) to first Ches-Mont League and District 1 championships and berth in PIAA finals. Team posted second-most wins in the nation behind St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes (Va.).
George Dick, Harriton – Led Rams (20-4) to share of first Central League title and first berth in state playoffs.
Dee Cross, Upper Dublin – Led Cardinals (17-7) to fourth straight undefeated Suburban One American Conference title and first berth in PIAA tourney.
Pam Wernersbach, Boyertown: Guided Bears (19-7) to eighth straight Pioneer Athletic Conference championship and berth in PIAA tournament.
Sue Dotsey, Barrack Hebrew Academy – Led Cougars to 12-3 mark and berth in Tri-County League finals in the program’s second year of existence.
