From Press Release

Delaware Valley University Director of Athletics Dave Duda has announced the hiring of Jim DiBattista as the next head coach of the Aggies men’s lacrosse program.

DiBattista arrives at Delaware Valley after spending the last five seasons leading the program at Cardinal O’Hara High School. Taking over a team that finished 0-13 in 2021, he transformed the Lions into a consistent contender, compiling a 53-40 overall record while guiding the program to two PIAA playoff appearances and this year’s District 12 2A championship.

“This search had a variety of interest from every level, but we were looking for a program builder with a high emphasis on recruiting and retention,” said Duda. “Jimmy DiBattista not only checked each of those boxes but also had an unmatched passion for this position. He will be able to provide leadership and stability in working toward a shared vision for our Men’s Lacrosse program. His genuine enthusiasm for coaching and Del Val will benefit each of our student-athletes and our entire campus community.”

Most recently, DiBattista led Cardinal O’Hara to a 2025 District 12 Class 2A runner-up finish before capturing this year’s Championship.

Prior to his tenure at Cardinal O’Hara, DiBattista served as the winter coach at Archmere Academy in Delaware and worked extensively in youth lacrosse with the Aston and Interboro youth programs in Pennsylvania.

“I am incredibly excited to get the chance to lead Delaware Valley’s men’s lacrosse program,” said DiBattista. “The team will be well prepared for all of the challenges we will face in the MAC Conference. Del Val is a special place that offers college students an unreal selection of different degrees ranging from Business to Criminal Justice and, most importantly, Agricultural Sciences. If you want to roll up your sleeves and get dirty, Del Val is the place for you. Go Aggies!”

DiBattista’s connection to Delaware Valley extends beyond his new role as head coach. He attended the University for a semester and was a member of the football program, earning Defensive Line MVP honors in 1996.

He now returns to Doylestown to lead the next chapter of Delaware Valley men’s lacrosse.
