The Phillylacrosse.com salutes the South Jersey Girls Team for 2012:

Player of the Year – Stephanie Toy,  Moorestown, Senior

The Team

Michelle Gonzales, Cherokee, Sr., Attack – Had 38 goals, 48 assists. Headed to Monmouth.

Shannon Nugent, Shawnee, Jr., Attack –Honorable Mention All-American. Had 62 goals. Committed to USC

Kim Tumolo, Clearview, Sr., Attack – Had 53 goals. Led team to SJ Group 4 title. Headed to Wagner

Haleigh Dalmass, Moorestown, Sr., Midfield – Honorable Mention All-American. Had 42 goals, 31 goals and 30 groundballs. Headed to USC.

Marie McCool, Moorestown, Soph., Midfield – First-Team All-American. Had 84 goals and 42 groundballs.

Megan Tiernan, Washington Twp., Sr., Midfield – Honorable Mention All-American. Had 45 goals. Headed to Temple.

Stephanie Toy, Moorestown, Sr., Midfield – Player of the Year and US Lacrosse and Under Armour All-American. Had 87 goals and 61 assists for T of C Champions. Headed to Notre Dame.

Nicole Troost, Shawnee, Sr., Midfield – First-Team All-American. Had 71 goals and 51 assists. Headed to UMass.

Lizzie Duffey, Seneca, Sr., Defender – Honorable Mention All-American. Had 64 caused turnovers, 91 ground balls and 31 draw controls. Headed to Delaware.

Lou Kalitz, Washington Twp., Sr. Defender – Helped team finish 13-6. Headed to Drexel.

MMegan Kelly, Moorestown, Jr., Defender – Honorable Mention All-American. Had 41 legal checks and 34 groundballs. Committed to Penn.

Amanda Currell, Moorestown, Sr., Goalie – Honorable Mention All-American. Had 143 saves for 26-0 team. Headed to Rutgers.
