Recent Strath Haven graduate Sarah Carzo (attack) is playing Division III lacrosse this year as a freshman at Cabrini College.

Sarah Carzo log:

Sarah Carzo

High School: Strath Haven
Graduation Year: 2011
Position: Attack
College Choice: Cabrini College
Club Affiliation: Haven Youth 7th and 8th grade, Coach Duck’s Winter and Fall leagues throughout high school. Summer league at Haverford College
this past summer. (Was going to play on ultimate goal summer after junior year but couldn’t because of injury)

Major lacrosse honors:
Captain, 2011 Strath Haven. Instructor at Trash Can Lacrosse camp this summer at Episcopal Academy under Coach Duck.

Academic honors: Honor Roll, Senior Service Project

What will you major in/study? Biology

Why did you choose school?
“I chose this school for a few reasons. First of all, I love the Coach, Jackie Neary (Ridley, Temple). It’s not far away so my parents can watch all of my lacrosse games. And also, being a small catholic school, as a student I can receive individual attention and help in my classes instead of just being a number in a larger school.”

Other comments: “I want to thank Coach Duck for teaching me all that I know about lacrosse and giving me a love for the game. Also, she helped me so much with getting recruited, which was a difficult process because I was recovering from my ACL reconstruction the summer of my junior year.”
