North Penn senior defender Kaitlin Colbridge has signed a National Letter of Intent to play Division I lacrosse at La Salle University.
Colbridge helped the Maidens claim the Suburban One Continental Conference championship last year and finish 20-3 overall. The Maidens placed sixth in the District 1 tournament and qualified for the first Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association tournament.
An honor roll student, Colbridge is interested in Communications as her major. She will play for second-year coach Candace Taglianetti, a Haverfoird High graduate, and be joined by fellow North Penn senior Danielle Horn (attack).
“It’s close to the city, and they have an amazing coach (Taglianetti),” Colbridge said. “I can relate well to her.”
Colbridge and Horn are two of four North Penn seniors to sign with a Division I school. The others are attack Abbie Hartman (Delaware) and defender Brittany Hanrahan (St. Joseph’s). Colbridge and Horn also will be joining Marple Newtown midfielder Kelly Collins and Garnet Valley attack Allie Henry at La Salle next year.
