Great Valley senior attack Jess Nawojski has committed to play Division I lacrosse at St. Joseph’s University.

Nawojski, a three-year starter, has been a key reason the Patriots are 16-0 and lead the Ches-Mont League with a 9-0 mark as the team gears for the final week of the regular season.
Nawojski plans to major in Business and also study marketing. She was drawn to St. Joe’s by coach Denise Roessler.
“I wanted a competitive school in Division I and wanted to be challenged to work harder,” she said.
“And I really like the way (Coach Roessler) coaches and how she pushes everybody.”
Nawojski, an Honor Roll student who plays club lacrosse for Mongoose, said the Patriots’ 9-5 win over defending league champion Unionville in April was a major confidence boost.
“Last year the teem felt it was OK to be mediocre and honestly we came out this year and just wanted to do well,” she said. “We want to get to states and prove to everyone we can make a change – and we did
“We were excited about the win over Unionville. It was 4-4 at halftime and we let them take just one shot the entire second half. The defense just shut them down and that win really gave us a lift.”
