Haverford School’s Matt Walters (No. 4) and Brendan McGrath (No. 9) were listed among the top 10 while La Salle’s Jack Bogorowski (No. 11) and Malvern Prep’s Drew Kennedy (No. 15) also were cited in the ESPN RISE “On The RISE” Top 20 Senior Midfielders feature released today.
Walters, who has committed to Syracuse, and McGrath – headed to Princeton – led the Fords to a
20-4 season and a share of the Inter-Ac League championship as well as the Inter-Ac Invitational title. Walters was an All-Phillylacrosse.com and Under Armour Underclassmen pick while McGrath was an ESPN RISE Warrior 40 and Under Armour Underclassmen selection.
Bogorowski, a First Team Catholic League North Division pick, helped the Explorers win the Catholic League crown and advance to the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association title game. Kennedy, also a standout face-off specialist who earned All-Phillylacrosse.com honors at that spot, helped the Friars tie with Haverford School for the Inter-Ac crown. Both Bogorowski and Kennedy have committed to Johns Hopkins.
Lyle Thompson, of Lafayette (N.Y.), was the No. 1 rated middie, followed by Ryan Tucker of Gilman School (Md.) and Thomas Grimm of Carthage, N.Y.
