This is one of a series of previews for the 2011 Philly lacrosse season

Team: Abington

Coach: Randy McNeill, 9th season

Last year’s record: 19-4, undefeated Suburban One National Conference champions for 4th straight year

Key returnees:
Anthony Greco, Senior, Defense, committed to Cabrini
Nick Pisko, Senior, Attack
Ryan Ambler, Junior, Attack, committed to Princeton
Chric Duffy, Junior, Defense
Josh Kluver, Junior, Defense

Coach’s Outlook for 2011 season:
“We return four poles that have been playing varsity lacrosse since freshman year. They all have great sticks and the ability to carry the ball. We are expecting Travis O’Connor to succeed in goal. On attack we return an experienced group that will be the focal point of our offense, led by Ryan Ambler. Expectations for Abington are high. We expect to win our league championship as well as to advance in the district and state playoffs. We expect to be competitive in every game we play.”

Team: Upper Moreland

Coach: Michael Liberona, 1st year
