Radnor girls’ coach Phyllis Kilgour reached a milestone Friday in style.

Kilgour’s host Raiders opened their season by completely dominating West Chester East – the defending District 1 Class AAA champs – by a whopping 21-0, giving the veteran mentor her 500th career victory.

Kelly Barnes, headed to Georgetown, scored four goals for the Raiders while Beth Ellis, Molly Early, Kacie Connors and Samantha Ellis added three apiece. Courtney Campbell added two goals.

West Chester East, which lost 17 seniors from last year’s team, fell to 0-3.

Also in girls’ games:

Brittany Gavin and Charlotte Flynn each scored four goals and Nicole Schuster added two as visiting Mt. St. Joseph (2-0) toppled neighborhood rival Springfield-Montco, 13-7…Shelby Christopher notched six goals to lift Avon Grove to an 18-4 blitzing of host Garnet Valley…Kelly Custer and Chrissy Finn each pumped in eight goals to help Sun Valley open with a 20-17 victory over Kennett.
