Women’s recruits: Five Philly seniors commit to play lacrosse at Division III programs

Five Philly girls have committed to play Division III lacrosse:

*Conestoga midfielder Rachel Hanscom (Wellesley) helped the Pioneers finish 12-7 this year. She is a member of the National Honor Society and was a two-year captain on the squash team. She plans to play both sports at Wellesley.

*Interboro goalie Danielle Owen (Cabrini) was a Fab 40 pick at the Philly Showcase last year.

*Boyertown defender Lauren Solazzo (Eastern University) helped the Bears win the Pioneer Athletic Conference title for the eighth straight year and advance to the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association tournament for the second time in three years.

*Radnor midfielder/attack Emily Gerber (Williams College)
helped the Red Raiders tie for the Central League championship with three teams.

*Unionville defender Hannah Haskell (Hamilton College) earned First Team Ches-Mont League honors and led the Indians to a 6-5 league record.
