The HEADstrong Foundation will be hosting their Inaugural Lime Light Gala tonight at the Hyatt Regency at Penns Landing in Philadelphia.

The black tie (optional) event begins at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail party and a silent auction. There also will be dinner and live entertainment.

Proceeds from the Gala will support the HEADstrong Foundation’s continuing efforts to find a cure for blood cancer in the name of Ridley High graduate Nick Colleluori. Specifically, the event will raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the work of Dr. Stephen J. Schuster at the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Colleluori, nicknamed “Head,” founded the Foundation after being diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma while a student-athlete at Hofstra University. He died in 2006 at the age of 21.

Lime is the color designated for blood cancer awareness. HEADstrong is committed to finding a cure for blood cancers, and helping the families who are struggling with these diseases, particularly young adult patients.
