Ursuline Academy (Del.) senior midfielder Austin Noonan has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Boston University.

Noonan was a First Team All-State and Honorable Mention US Lacrosse All-American pick for Ursuline, which went 11-5 and reached the semifinals of the Delaware state tournament. Noonan, who also was selected to try out for the US U-19 National team this sumer, had more than 225 career goals in high school and plays club lacrosse for the Phantastix.

“It was so incredible, a great experience,” she said. “I had nothing to lose. It was great competition, and at the same time I had a lot of fun. I made the most of it.”

Noonan, who also plays basketball at Ursuline, expects her team to contend again for a playoff berth.

“We did very well last year and we have a lot of seniors coming back,” she said. “Many
