Seniors Jen Pritchard (Penncrest) and Shannon Summers (Hill School), who led Franklin & Marshall to the NCAA Division III national title, have been named first-team All-Americans by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches’ Association and US Lacrosse.

Meanwhile, West Chester’s Courtney Whiting (Downingtown East) and Lock Haven’s Amber Hoch (Souderton) earned first-team honors in Division II

Pritchard had 68 goals and 13 assists for the Diplomats while Summers led the team in scoring with 39 goal and 65 assist for 104 points.

Whiting finished tied for the team lead in goals scored with 46 and ranked third overall in scoring with 59 points. The senior center midfielder was the workhorse on faceoffs and ranked second in the country in draw controls with 74.

Also, West Chester’s Gina DiDomenicis (defense) and Mary Beth Green (Henderson, goalkeeper) made the second team. She ranked second on the Rams in ground balls (47) and draw controls (40).    Green backstopped West Chester to its third straight undefeated league campaign as the Golden Rams posted a perfect 10-0 mark in the newly formed Eastern Division of the PSAC.

In Division III, F&M’s Ashley Bevington (Hill School) made the third team and was joined by Washington and Lee senior Kelsi Robinson (Westtown School). Bevington scored 42 goals and Robinson collected 22 goals and 19 assists for a 13-5 squad.

The IWLCA and US Lacrosse will honor the national All-Americans at an awards banquet on June 13, 2009 in King of Prussia.
