The Delaware Lacrosse Foundation is excited to present a first-of-its-kind Defensive & SSDM Lacrosse Clinic on August 8th, featuring Shawn Lyght, the 2026 Tewaaraton Award Winner and one of the top defensive players in the game.
This clinic, at Wilmington Friends School, is designed for players who want to improve their defensive fundamentals, footwork, stick skills, positioning, and overall lacrosse IQ while learning directly from one of the best in lacrosse.
Players will receive high-level instruction focused on key defensive skills, including:

- Footwork and positioning
- Stick skills
- 1v1 defense and transition play
- Mental toughness and leadership
Whether your player is a close defenseman, LSM, SSDM, or simply looking to sharpen their defensive game, this clinic will provide competitive reps, advanced instruction, and a unique opportunity to train with a Tewaaraton Award winner.
