From Press Release

Lehigh defeated Iona, 16-7, Tuesday afternoon in men’s lacrosse, improving to 1-1 on the young season. The Gaels fell to 0-3 with the loss.

Lehigh was led by its two young attackers. First-year Finn Morgan, coming off Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors after scoring six goals against Fairfield, scored four Tuesday afternoon. Sophomore Luke Breslin also scored four, a career high, and added three assists.

Senior, Andrew Kelly (La Salle) added two goals, his first of the season, and assisted on three others.

On defense, senior Richard Checo caused five turnovers, leaving him six shy of the Division I record. Junior Connor Riley (Salesianum School) matched a career high with 10 ground balls, winning 10-of-19 faceoffs.

Goaltender Kasey Heath made several key saves, picking up his first win of the season by stopping seven shots and allowing five goals. Braeden Korb (Salesianum) added two groundballs and two caused turnovers.

Lafayette 10, Binghamton 9

The Leopards defeated Binghamton on Tuesday night at Fisher Stadium to capture their first win of the 2026 season. Sophomores Benjamin DiBattista and Joseph Duggan tallied hat tricks in the Leopards’ home opener and senior captain Aidan Kopen (Haverford School) tacked on two goals and two assists. Joe Doherty (Malvern Prep) posted 11 saves for the win in goal.

The Bearcats were first to put points on the board, thanks to goals from Andrew Girolamo and Drew Filanowski. Freshman attacker Charlie Foley logged his second goal of his Leopard career at the 6:00 mark, but a scoreless final six minutes of first quarter action left the visitors with a 2-1 lead.
