Henderson coach Robin Keevan, who guided the Warriors to their first PIAA championship in only her third season in West Chester, was named the 2025-2026 NFHS/Pennsylvania Girls’ Lacrosse Coach of the Year.
Keevan’s Warriors went 25-1 in 2026, winning the Ches-Mont League and District 1 and PIAA 3A championships. They swept Conestoga, downing the Pioneers in the regular season and the district and state finals.
Keenan, who has a 55-14 record at Henderson, saw her Warriors claim an 11-6 win over Conestoga in the title game at Penn State’s Panzer Stadium.
In July, Keevan was named the TopofTheCircle.com National Coach of the Year. She also was named the Daily Local News Coach of the Year.
“I’m overjoyed to win against such a quality team, to win states, to have this team with me for 3 years,” said Keevan after the state finals. “It all comes down to the hard work of the girls. They worked hard to get to a moment like this.
“I’ve known ‘Stoga since I was playing. They’ve always been one of the top teams in the state. To beat them makes this so much better. I’m so proud of my girls right now. We played for each ball, each possession, each draw control, moment to moment.”
Keevan was an All-American at Great Valley and a Temple standout who served as an assistant at Great Valley for five years until taking the head coaching job at Penncrest in 2012. She was a three-time Atlantic-10 selection and helped Temple win three A-10 championships before serving as an assistant at Temple for one season.
