The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2025 Division I Blatant Lacrosse Team of the Week accolades on Wednesday, Feb. 5. Players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their program games this past week.
The list of honorees features:
Ross Prince, Faceoff, Springside Chestnut Hill Ac./Penn Valley, PA, Freshman, Georgetown – Prince – who also earned Big East Freshman of the Week – won 16 of 20 faceoffs (.800) on the day and collected five ground balls in an impressive 13-6 win over Loyola Maryland. Prince won the first 13 faceoffs of the game, including every faceoff in the first half.
Matt Traynor, Attack, Malvern Prep/Downingtown, PA, Senior, Penn State – Traynor stood out in the men’s lacrosse team’s season-opening win (14-9) on Saturday against Colgate, where he tallied five goals and two assists for the Nittany Lions, which led the team. It is the second time in his career he has tallied seven points or more in a single game. The last time he accomplished this was against Cornell in the 2024 season where he registered eight points on March 9, 2024. Traynor sits one point away from 100 career points following his seven-point outing as he stands with 99 on 83 goals and 16 assists.
