Sunday college roundup: Gorelick (Notre Dame) leads Georgetown women past Drexel

Georgie Gorelick (Academy of Notre Dame) had three goals and an assist as the 20th-ranked Johns Hopkins women’s lacrosse team used an 8-0 run to fuel an 11-6 win over 15th-ranked Drexel at Homewood Field Sunday afternoon.

Georgie Gorelick: 3G, 1A

Corinne Bednarik (Downingtown West) and Karson Harris led the Dragons offense, each with two goals, an assist, and two draw controls.
Zoe Bennett set a career-high with 17 saves against the Blue Jays.
Peighton Bement drove the defensive front with two caused turnovers and two ground balls.
Harris and Belle McHugh (Academy of Notre Dame) both picked up a team high three ground balls.

D3

Tufts 13, Williams 9

Freshman Margie Carden (Villa Maria Academy) scored four goals and an assist to lead second-ranked Tufts to a victory over Williams College in a NESCAC women’ play.

Men’s D2

Roberts Wesleyan 13, Chestnut Hill College 12

Maurice Kelly had four goals and an assist and Mike Smith scored twice for CHC (1-3).
