The Academy of Notre Dame recently inducted two school legends, Alexis Brandolini and Kelly McCallion, into its Athletic Hall of Fame. Brandolini was selected in 2020, but went into the Hall with McCallion and others last month.
The Bios:
Alexis Brandolini ’97
Alexis Brandolini ’97 was an integral member of the Varsity field hockey and lacrosse teams, captaining both teams her senior year. In 1996, she helped to lead Notre Dame’s Varsity field hockey team to an Inter-Ac Championship and was recognized as first team All Main Line for both field hockey and lacrosse. She also earned a position on the Pennsylvania-area lacrosse team, participating in the National Tournament in 1997. After graduation, Brandolini received a full Division I scholarship to compete in lacrosse at the University of Richmond, where she was named captain and an All-Atlantic-10 Conference Player while leading her team to an Atlantic-10 Championship.
Kelly McCallion ’09
Kelly McCallion ’09 was a three-sport athlete playing lacrosse, field hockey and basketball at Notre Dame. She was a four-year varsity starter in lacrosse, recording 255 goals and 123 assists in her career. She was a two-time First Team All-American, two-time Upper Atlantic National Team, three-time first team All-Inter-Ac, four time All-Main Line and four-time All-Delco selection. She was a two-time first team All-PhillyLacrosse.com player, a three time Notre Dame team MVP, and received numerous honors in field hockey and basketball at Notre Dame. She furthered her career at The University of Pennsylvania as a standout lacrosse player, earning the PA Sports Hall of Fame-Delaware County Outstanding Scholar Athlete of the Year and captained the four-time Ivy League Championship teams.
