Strath Haven scored five straight goals to take a 9-7 lead over Cardinal O’Hara before inclement weather halted their PIAA girls’ Class AA semifinal game today at Unionville.
The game will be continued with 12:28 to play Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Marple Newtown.
Danielle McNeely has four goals and three assists for Strath Haven, which trailed, 4-0 and then 7-3 before going on its run. Haven started its surge when McKenzie Murray scored off a Laura Conner feed to make it 7-4 early in the second half.
Danielle McNeely then made it 7-5 and Devon Maillet added one to close the gap to 7-6. Kaitlin Nieczpiel tied it and then McNeely put her team ahead for the first time before feeding Conner for the ninth goal.

Archbishop Carroll/Twin Valley game postponed to Wednesday
The PIAA girls’ lacrosse semifinal between Twin Valley and Archbishop Carroll scheduled for Tuesday afternoon at Unionville was postponed due to severe weather.
The game is set to be played on Wednesday at Methacton at 3 p.m.
Carroll, the Catholic League/District 12 champion, is 18-4. Twin Valley, the Berks County champion and District 3 runner-up, is 22-2.
