La Salle lacrosse senior Priya Kavuru (Cherry Hill East) was named Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, the conference announced.
Kavuru put in a stellar defensive display as La Salle defeated Delaware for its first win over the Blue Hens in eight years. She helped hold Delaware to four goals, including only allowing one score in the second half. Individually, she led both teams with four caused turnovers (tying a career high) and four ground balls.
La Salle’s number 37 will look to continue her strong defensive form when the Explorers host Lehigh on Saturday at 1 p.m.
