Coaches: Head Coach: Russ Kile… Inaugural Season in 2013 to Present (Ninth season as head coach). Overall Record: 53 W – 44 L (Won one game during our 2013 inaugural season only to rise to a season high two years later at 12- Assistant Coach: Kim Schuler, former collegiate field hockey and lacrosse player… 2014 to Present. – Assistant Coach: Aaron Caporuscio, former collegiate lacrosse player and founder of MALAXA… 2020 to Present.- Assistant Coach: Rob Glowacki… 2020 to Present.

2019 Record: 6-6. Finished tied for 6th place of 13 WVC teams. No seniors on the team during the 2019 season. 10 of our Varsity Starters were freshmen and sophomores.

Key Players: “This season our roster is heavy with experienced, returning players and many of what I call freshmores… since our current sophomores did not have a season last year. Hillary Blazick, Avery Bogdon, Narissa Jackson, Helena Jardine, Julia Johnson, Anna Kahlau, Ella Kaminski, Kelsey Kulak, Marissa McCune, Julia Rose, and Jill Taleroski are our seasoned group of seniors who raised the standard of our team to a level where we are now able to compete against teams we once struggled with.”

Others to Watch: “Olivia Aigeldinger, Aubrey Colo, Sophia Novrocki, and Taylor O’Farrell are a few of our returning juniors with varsity experience. Isabella Caporuscio, Julia Glowacki, Brooke Lapinski, and Kennedy Zlockie are just a few of our promising sophomores looking to make a mark in the history of Crestwood Lacrosse. Our seven rising freshmen will push the ability of the team even higher with their advanced skills and tactics, much of which was learned as youth players at the Mountain Top Area Lacrosse Association (MALAXA). With nearly 40 athletes on our roster this season, it is difficult to mention each player and the amazing impact every one has on our team.”

Coach’s Outlook for 2021: “The circumstances surrounding the 2020 and 2021 seasons have certainly challenged parents, athletes, coaches, and administrators. I am proud to see that our players rose to those challenges and showed tremendous character during the entire process by staying focused on developing physical fitness and skills. The poise, honor, integrity, and dignity they demonstrated when facing the unknown during this pandemic, will surely pay big dividends during the upcoming season. With our dedicated, experienced, and knowledgeable coaching staff, along with the ambition of our athletes to begin an incredible season, we will witness unprecedented CSD Lacrosse Program accomplishments in 2021 and beyond. Without a doubt, the 2021 lacrosse season will be an historic one for the Crestwood School District Lady Comets Lacrosse Team.”

The Hill School

League: MAPL(Mid Atlantic Prep League)

Coaching staff: Head Coach: Mo Gaitán (3rd season); Assistant Coaches: Laura McConney (6th season) & Shannon Zwoyer (8th season)

Key players to watch: “NCAA Bound defenders Tanner Eccleston ’21 and Tess Gray ’21. We are excited about some new incoming players who are sure to make an immediate impact.”

Coach’s Outlook: “Last year our team made the most of the pandemic and took to social media and challenged our boys team to the Coronalympics! It was a combination of stick tricks, fitness and some fun. This year we are looking forward to building on that team chemistry we sustained and bring it to the field!”
