All-Lehigh Valley/Northeast PA Phillylacrosse Boys’ team 2021

Phillylacrosse.com honors these players from the Lehigh Valley and Northeast PA for their performances in the 2021 scholastic season

Player of the Year – Allentown Central Catholic senior attackman Jack McGorry, who had 94 goals and 32 assists and led the Vikings to the East Penn, District 11 AA and PIAA AA championships. He will play at St. Joseph’s.

Coach of the Year: Allentown Central Catholic’s Dan Dolphin, who guided the Vikings to the East Penn, District 11 AA and PIAA AA championships, and a 23-1 record. The state title was the first in lacrosse won by any District 11 team.

Attack
Connor Flok, Emmaus, Jr.
– East Penn Second Team … Helped Hornets win District 11 AAA championship … Had 75 goals.
Jack McGorry, Allentown Central Catholic, Sr. – Phillylacrosse.com Player of the Year, East Penn MVP, All-American, East Penn First Team … Helped Vikings win East Penn, District 11 Class AA and PIAA championships … Had 94 goals, 32 assists … Signed with St. Joseph’s.
Chase Stephens, Scranton Prep, Sr. – Wyoming Valley first-team …Helped Prep to the District 2 Class 2A semifinals. … Had 52 goals and 21 assists … Will play at Arcadia.
Zachary Younker, Emmaus, Jr. – East Penn First Team … Helped Hornets win District 11 AAA championship … Had 15 goals, 60 assists.
Trey Zabroski, Crestwood, Sr. – Wyoming Valley Offensive Player of the Year, Wyoming Valley First Team … Helped Comets to District 2 AA championship and PIAA semifinals … Had 86 goals, 61 assists … Will play at Grove City College.
Colin Zyck, Saucon Valley, Sr. – Had 34 goals, 27 assists … Signed with St. Joseph’s.

Midfield
Will Filipovits, Parkland, Sr. – East Penn First Team … Had 20 goals … Will play at Amherst
Quin Hoke, Freedom, Sr. – East Penn First Team … Had 42 goals, 25 assists… Signed with Wagner.
Tyler Schifko, Allentown Central Catholic, Sr. – East Penn First Team … Helped Vikings win East Penn, District 11 Class AA and PIAA championships … Had 73 goals, 19 assists … Signed with Utah.
Zachary Whalen, Emmaus, Sr. – East Penn Second Team … Helped Hornets win District 11 AAA championship … Had 33 goals, 16 assists … Signed with Chestnut Hill.

Defense
Matthew Dapper, Emmaus, Sr. – All-Academic, Bob Scott Award, East Penn First Team … Helped Hornets win District 11 AAA championship … Had Attending Delaware for academics.
Chuck Kuczynski, Allentown Central Catholic, Jr. – All-American, East Penn First Team … Helped Vikings win East Penn, District 11 Class AA and PIAA championships … Had 10 goals, 142 groundballs, 38 takeaways and won 33 of 48 faceoffs … Committed to Syracuse.
Nino Rizzolino, Easton, Jr. – East Penn First Team … committed to Hood College.
Raul Ochotorena, Southern Lehigh, Sr. – All-American … Helped Spartans reach District 11 AA final … signed with Lehigh.

LSM
Zach Palinkas, Emmaus, Sr. – East Penn First Team… Helped Hornets win District 11 AAA championship … Will play at Scranton

Faceoff
Matt Barraco, Parkland, Jr. –
East Penn First Team … Won 163 of 193 faceoffs (84 percent) and had 106 groundballs and 7 goals … Committed to Harvard
Gavin Gibbs, Notre Dame Green Pond-Moravian Academy, Jr. – Won 211 of 283 faceoffs 74 percent) while adding 19 goals, 19 assists … Committed to Syracuse.

Short-Stick Midfield
Mason Maxsim, Allentown Central Catholic,
Sr. – East Penn First Team … Had 94 groundballs … Helped Vikings win East Penn, District 11 Class AA and PIAA championships … Attending Jacksonville and hopes to try to walk on.
