June 20, 2020 by Chris Goldberg

Phillylacrosse.com, Posted 6/20/20

Westtown School 2021 attackman/midfielder Oneniotekó:wa Maracle has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Lafayette College.

Oneniotekó:wa Maracle profile:

Oneniotekó:wa Maracle

High school: Westtown School (West Chester, PA)

Grad year: 2021

Positions: Attack, Midfield

College committed to: Lafayette College

Club team: Road Warriors Lacrosse, Iroquois Nationals u18

Lacrosse honors: Play for Iroquois Nationals u18; Adrenaline Black Card Game Invite; Under Armor All American

Academic honors: 248 service hours

Expected major: Agriculture

Why did you choose Lafayette? “I chose Lafayette because they have some of the best academics in the country. The Coaching staff is great, they all keep in contact with me so that it’s not just a player to coach relationship, it’s also a friendship. The coaches also love my style of lacrosse, which is something that means a lot to me because I try to play with a creative mind. Meaning I throw a lot of behind the back shots/passes, I play with one hand a lot, etc. It’s the style of lacrosse I’ve grown up playing, some coaches I’ve had haven’t been a fan of it, so finding a whole coaching staff that loves it and encourages me to continue to play with that style is great to me!”

Is there anything else you would like to share? “Thanks to my parents Brent and Shana Maracle, Coach Mark Burnam, and Coach Carl Starkey.”
