From Press Release

The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) in conjunction with Keystone Sports and Entertainment announced today that the league championship game will be played at Talen Energy Stadium on the Chester waterfront on Saturday, September 21 at 2:30 p.m.

The inaugural PLL Championship will be held at the state-of-the-art facility at the close of the regular season and playoffs and will see the top two teams face off for the crown. Philadelphia marks the triumphant final stop of the PLL season that commences June 1 and travels to 13 major North American cities over three months.

In addition to the Championship Game, a matchup between two additional PLL teams will be played immediately prior to determine the order for the 2020 PLL College Draft. The PLL Championship Game will be televised on NBC and streamed via authentication on NBCSports.com, and the NBC Sports app.

“We’re proud to announce that the city of Philadelphia — home to major pro sports team champions, and one of the best venues in North America in Talen Energy Stadium — will be host to our inaugural PLL Championship,” says PLL Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer Paul Rabil. “Since our creation, we’ve amassed continual support from the fans of Philadelphia and we’re ecstatic to bring our season’s biggest game to Talen Energy Stadium, where our first champion will be crowned in an electric atmosphere.”

“All of us at Keystone Sports and Entertainment as well as the Philadelphia Union are excited to welcome the PLL Championship Game to Talen Energy Stadium,” said Tim McDermott, Union Chief Business Officer. “Philadelphia has an incredible passion for lacrosse and the sport is experiencing tremendous growth in our region. We’re looking forward to hosting another hallmark event and showcasing the unbeatable views and fan experience that Talen Energy Stadium offers.”
