Hanzsche is the third Diplomat (Vanessa Budd, 2015, 2017 and Samantha Blicht, 2016) in the last six seasons to be named Defensive Player of the Year. She was named to the First Team for the second consecutive season after leading the Conference with 34 caused turnovers on the year. A unanimous selection, the junior defender currently leads the Diplomats with 42 groundballs and is tied for fifth in the CC. Hanzsche helped cement a defense that held opponents to only 7.29 goals a game during the regular season.

Marino is the second Diplomat to earn Rookie of the Year honors, with the last being Paige Moriarty in 2015. The first-year attacker leads F&M with 44 goals and ranks second with 12 assists, scoring a hat trick in 10 out of 19 games so far.
