Moorestown raced to an 8-0 halftime lead and rolled past Haddonfield, 13-3, tonight to advance to its first Tournament of Champions final since 2014 at Middletown South, N.J.
The Quakers (22-2, No. 1 in Phillylacrosse.com Rankings), the top seed in the tourney, will meet Ridgewood in the title game Saturday at Kean University at 5 p.m. Ridgewood toppled Oak Knoll, 12-6.
Colette Smith led Moorestown with three goals and four assists while Ava Frantz added three goals and Delaney Lawler anchored a defense that limited a Haddonfield attack 13 goals below its playoff scoring average.
Cailin Field and Kayla Frank each had two goals and an assist while Robin Panzarella scored twice. Logan Lillie posted 8 saves in goal.
Haddonfield finishes 21-2, having won its first state title (Group 2) and advancing to the T of C for the first time.
