The Calverton School (MD) 2020 goalie Tyler Muir, of Freedom Lacrosse, has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at St. Bonaventure University.

High school: The Calverton School (MD/ Huntingtown); transferring from Owen J. Roberts

Grad year: 2020

Position: Goalie

College committed to: St. Bonaventure University

Club team: Philadelphia Freedom

Lacrosse honors: Under Armour All American Uncommitted game; Brine National Team Pennsylvania, NXT Middle School Inter-Ac Challenge All Stars

Academic honors: National Honors Society Inductee

Expected major: Undecided

Why did you choose St. Bonaventure? “It seemed like a perfect fit for me as a student, athlete, and person. The coaching staff is incredible and I look forward to playing for Coach (Randy) Mearns and (Gill) Conners. And it’ll be really special to be able to play for a new program that’s being built from the ground up.”

HS team’s 2019 outlook: I’m extremely excited! I’ll be transferring to The Calverton School. The team is extremely impressive and I look forward to a successful season!”

Thank You: “I would love to thank my dad and Mom for everything they have done for me. My dad taught me so much about goalie and I wouldn’t be here without his endless love and support. I would also love to thank all the coaches in the Freedom organization that refined my skills and put me in the position to get recruited in the first place. And my final thank you is to coach Dave Page of Foundation Lacrosse for helping me become a much better goalie and always believing in me.”
