How do you describe leadership based on your service projects?
Barth: “I have learned from my own experiences that the most important part of leadership is communication. You have to talk to your teammates and return the favor by listening to them. Without communication you have no foundation for the respect and trust that is innate in being part of a team.”
How do you balance academics and athletics:
Barth: “I balance my athletics and academics/service by reminding myself to stay balanced. In order to accomplish my goals in athletics and service as well as in academics I have to know what’s more important and practice self-discipline.”
