Host and top-ranked Moorestown won its 87th consecutive game today in defeating Olympic Division opponent Cherokee, 17-7.
The Quakers (10-0) rallied from a 4-1 deficit as nine different girls scored. Abbey Brooks led with four goals and Alex O’Donnell and Melanie Becker had three apiece. Annika Nissen added four assists. Quinn Nicolai had an all around solid game with stats in every category as did Becker who led the Quakers with five draw controls.
Moorestown takes on two elite North Jersey opponents, Glen Ridge (Thursday) and undefeated Ridgewood (Saturday), over the next three days. The Quakers then host undefeated Lenape on Monday in a rematch of state semifinalists from last year.
Garnet Valley 13, Lower Merion 5
Emily Mathewson had four goals, three assists and two draw controls and Kamryn McNeal added four goals, an assists and two caused turnovers to pace the Jaguars.
Melina Chumley led the Aces with five goals.
Peddie School 14, Germantown Academy 12
Elizabeth Prezioso led GA with five goals and Allie Cannon added three.
Methacton 13, Boyertown 8
Daria Lucchesi had four goals and an assist and Sara Hughes and Jackie Cerchio each had three goals and an assist for the Warriors.
Maddy Siejk led the Bears with three goals and an assist.
Jenkintown 14, Lower Moreland 2
Emma Dorshimer had seven goals and an assist and Lauren Shenk scored four goals to lead the Drakes.
Archbishop Carroll 17, Archbishop Wood 3
Avery Murphy had five goals and two assists and Isabelle Schmitt added three goals and an assist for the Patriots.
