Stephen Cyron and Bryce Reid each had three goals and an assist and Paul Rafferty scored three times as visiting Avon Grove claimed a 12-6 victory today over Ridley in an non-league opener.

Jon Moroz had two goals and an assist and Doug Jones added a goal and an assist while Jake Pousson dished three assists for the Devils. Liam Brodie posted 11 saves.

Brock Anderson scored twice for Ridley.

Upper Dublin 17, Springfield-Montco 2Fusion Lacrosse

Michael Mullen pumped in eight goals and assisted on one more while Michael Sowers had nine assists and a goal to lead the Cards to a Suburban One American Conference opening-day win.

Academy of the New Church 15, Archbishop Wood 3

Thomas Villante posted 16 saves for ANC (3-0) while Kevin Vandegrift had five goals and an assist while James Vandegrift had four goals and four assists. Jesse Frazier added two goals and three assists.

Lansdale Catholic 12, Phoenixville 1

The Crusaders opened PAC-10 play with an easy win as Joe Walsh collected five goals and an assist and Grady Kelly had three goals and three assists. Nick Heiler won 12 of 17 face-offs.

Shipley 12, First Academy (Orlando, Fla) 7

The Gators improved to 2-0 on their Florida trip as they jumped out to a 6-0 first quarter lead and got 15 saves from Ian Walsh.

Tate Gallagher led the offense with four goals and an assist and Chris Verdeur led the defense with seven takeaways and six groundballs. Keegan Farr was also strong off the turf with six groundballs. Nick Yi had three goals and two assists and
Amir Fluellen added two goals and an assist.

Central Bucks South 20, Abington 10

The Titans exploded offensively as Chris Tanner collected right goals and three assists and Brendan McGrath had five goals and an assist. Dillon Kelly contributed two goals, one assists and six groundballs.

For Abington, Cameron Leech had five goals and an assist and Hunter Jones contributed four goals and two assists.
