Fusion Lacrosse is pleased to unveil its inaugural Girls Summer Camp at Academy of the New Church. Along with Fusion Founders Kevin Crowley and Steven Holmes, Fusion has hired Kitty Cullen and Sam Farrell, both alums of the University of Florida, to help direct this dynamic summer camp model combination of outdoor and box lacrosse.
The camp is for girls aged 3rd to 11th grades and runs from 9am-3:30pm daily, from July 28th-31st. You can REGISTER HERE.
Both Cullen and Farrell were stars at the University of Florida and have continued their careers after college as talented and dedicated coaches. Both run instructional training sessions all year long for Team 22 lacrosse. Cullen, covers the offensive side. She was a three-time Tewaaraton award nominee at UF. Farrell covers the D-side and boasts a resume as two-time All-American and conference defensive player of the year.
Fusion also brings a heavy dose of its “fusion” principals into camp with Professionals Steven Holmes (New York Lizards, former Wing) and Kevin Crowley (Wings, Nationals, Team Canada) leading box-infusion drills for two hours each day of camp.
“Girls actually tend to move the ball a little bit better than boys because of rule differences and less pocket protection with their sticks,” said Holmes, who has helped create the curriculum. “We’re really excited to teach and implement give and goes, back door cuts, spot feeds, slip-picks and a whole lot of other things that the girls can really embrace and run with.”
The dynamic of Cullen and Farrell teaming up with Fusion experts is an incredible experience that local players will not want to miss. This camp is beneficial for all ages and skill levels and every player will be challenged.
