Methacton High School 2015 attackman Michael Del Vecchio has made a commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Goucher College.
Michael Del Vecchio log:
High School: Methacton High School
Graduation Year: 2015
Position: Attack
College Choice: Goucher College
Club Affiliation: Twist Lacrosse
Lacrosse Honors: Top 205, Blue Chip 225, New England 150
What will you major in/study? Computer Science
Why did you choose Goucher? “I chose this school for not only their lacrosse program, but also the great academic program that really epitomizes the student athlete. The whole lacrosse team really made me feel welcome when I went for my visits. Coach (Brian) Kelly and Coach (Jeremy) Phelps have put together a quality program. I really like that every student is required to study abroad. Also, I liked the small school feel and immediately fell in love with everything about it.”
Outlook for your High School team next season? “We have a lot of returning talent at all positions and I definitely think we can contend for a PAC-10 championship.”
Thank You: “I would like to thank all of the people who have supported me through the years. I want to thank my very first lacrosse coach Dean Thacker for making me want to keep playing lacrosse. Also I would like to thank the late Nick Falcone and my Dad, Mick Del Vecchio, for being one of the best coaching teams throughout my youth league experience.
“My freshman coach, Coach Dillard Brooks for always believing in me and giving me the confidence to step up my game, and Coach Nat Ryan for coaching me the last 3 years and giving me the opportunity to play for Methacton.
“I would also like to thank my Mom and Dad who have always been my biggest supporters. Finally, my friends and family for always having my back through thick and thin.”
