Melnychenko earned Second Team status with 40 goals, 14 assists, 34 ground balls, and ten caused turnovers.

Leading Chestnut Hill College (7-6, 5-3) to the #4 seed in the first-ever ECC Championship Tournament, Melnychenko ranked among the top 15 in the ECC in seven statistical categories including; goals (43, 3rd), assists (14, T15th), points (57, 6th), man-up goals (11, 2nd), shots (100, 9th), shooting percentage (43-of-100, 43.0%, 14th), and shots-on-goal (71, 6th).

He was a six-time mention on the ECC Weekly Men’s Lacrosse Report, earning the league’s Player of the Week award on April 21 after recording 12 points, six ground balls, and four caused turnovers in wins over wins over Post University, 20-6 on April 16, and the University of the District of Columbia, 14-6 on April 19.

Melnychenko earned All-ECC Second Team recognition in 2013 when he earned his first team MVP award and received a DII Preseason All-American honor from Face-Off Yearbook. That year, he also became the first Griffin to surpass the 100-career goal milestone (3/23/2013) while serving as one of the league’s top playmakers with 25 goals, 18 assists, 28 ground balls, and four caused turnovers.

He was an All-ECC Second Team performer as a sophomore (36 goals, 12 assists, 25 ground balls, and ten caused turnovers) and an All-ECC Honorable Mention during his ECC Rookie of the Year campaign (2011) that saw him earn the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II Goals-per-Game (GPG) crown with 3.57 GPG. He finished his freshman season with 50 goals, seven assists, 37 ground balls, and four caused turnovers.
