Tuesday’s girls’ HS roundup: Great Valley tops Boyertown; Mount, Radnor coast

Ali Karwoski scored five goals while Emily Scullin and Avery Murphy each had three as visiting Great Valley downed Boyertown, 14-12, today in non-league girls’ lacrosse.

Caitlin Kratzer added two goals and Jenna Morris made 10 saves for the Patriots (2-0), who are ranked No. 2 in the PIAA Media Rankings.

Annie Rodgers had three goals for the Bears (0-2) and Rachel Engler added two goals and four assists. Haley Wentzel and Jaime Vincent each had two goals and an assist and Lindsay Clinton made 15 saves.

Mount St. Joseph 18, Villa Joseph Marie 4

Olivia Gannon had seven goals and four draw controls and Olivia Gannon and Dominique Nyzio contributed five goals, one assist and one draw control as the Mount coasted in the Catholic Academies.

Villa Maria Academy 19, St. Basil’s 2

Catherine Bendinelli had four goals and an assist, Jenna Mertz scored three and Keeley Frost had two goals and three assists as the Hurricanes earned the Catholic Acadenies League win.

Radnor 14, Marple Newtown 1

Sara Curley and Natalie Miller had two goals and three assists to lead the Red Raiders to the Central League win.

Germantown Academy 18, Kennett 16

Brooke Kiley had six goals and three assists and Hanna Bogorowski scored four goals and added one assist to lead the Patriots to the non-league win.

Sophie DuPhily collected six goals and three assists for Kennett.

Council Rock North 11, Bayard Rustin 10

The Indians improved to 2-0 with the non-league win.
