Cherry Hill East junior midfield-defense Caitlin Delaney has committed to play Division I lacrosse at Sacred Heart University.

Major lacrosse honors: 2011 All American National Lacrosse Classic, 2012 Elite 120
What will you major in/study: Athletic Training/Physical Therapy
Why did you choose Sacred Heart? “I liked coaches (Laura) Cook and (Julia) Steier, the program, which has been Northeast Conference Champions 3 of the last 4 years, the campus and the school, which offers undergraduate and graduate programs in the degree that I want to study.”
What is your outlook for your high school team’s season? “It will be a rebuilding year at Cherry Hill East but there is a strong core of underclassmen looking to meet the challenge within the competitive Olympic Conference.”
Additional comments: “I’d like to thank my high school coach, Katie Boyle, for the opportunity to play varsity since my freshman year, my South Jersey Select 2013 coaches, especially Mr. (K.C.) Knobloch and Bridget Bigley for working with me and helping me to improve my game. Most of all, I want to thank my family for all their support and encouragement.”
