Girls’ club: Phantastix Purple 2013 closes out with undefeated run at Champions Cup in Virginia

The Phantastix Purple 2013 club team closed out its season with a 5-0 record at the recent IWLCA Champions Cup in Midlothian, Va.

The team defeated the Skywalkers, Long Island Liberty, CC Lax and West Chester Elite in tourney play.

Players are committed to Navy, Stanford, Cornell, Michigan, Rutgers,Boston College, Lafayette, Dartmouth, Penn State, George Washington, Lehigh, Vermont, Ohio, and William and Mary

Coach Chrissy Poplawski thanked Phantastix owners Sue Frazier and JoAnn Yusko for their support.

The team consisted of Mackenzie Orr (Conestoga), Alex Poplawski (Springfield-Delco), Grace Collins (Radnor), Catie Smith (Conestoga), Rachel Flynn (Archbishop Carroll), Lindsey Reder (Episcopal Academy), Rachel Engler (Boyertown), Amanda Case (Haverford High), Abby Junior (Radnor), Blake Hamblett (Conestoga), Natalie Maher (Council Rock North), Natalie Schmitt (Archbishop Carroll), Julie D’Orazio (Merion Mercy), Meghan Cobb (St. Mark’s), and Meg McGillis (Conestoga).
