Archbishop Ryan senior attackman Tim Taylor has committed to play Division I lacrosse at Widener University.

Lacrosse honors: 2010 Philly Showcase “Gait Fab Forty” Selection, 2011 1st Team All-Catholic Jr year, 2010 2nd Team All-Catholic Soph, Archbishop Ryan Season Goal Record 68, Archbishop Ryan Career Goal Leader 126 present, 4 year Varsity Player

Academic Honors: Archbishop Ryan 2nd Honors

What will you study/major in? Criminal Justice/Accounting

Why did you choose Widener? “I chose Widener because it seemed like the perfect fit for me. They offer a great academic program in the fields I wish to study in. I also felt very comfortable around coach (Brendan) Dawson and the lacrosse program. I look forward to playing for him next year.”

High School Team Outlook: “After losing in the PCL Semifinals last year, and returning most of our starters, I have high expectations for our team this year. As long as we work hard and play as a team, then I have no doubts that we will be back there again this season.”

Other comments: “I would like to thank my parents and my grandparents for always supporting me, my high school coaches Steve Pape and Fred Battone, and I also would like to thank my LB3 coaches Jim Buery, JP Banks, and Old Man Banks.”

Final scoring statistics: Set the Ryan all time single-season scoring record (in 2011) with  68 goals.
