Members of the Rebel Elite lacrosse team volunteered their assistance at this years Special Olympic activities held at Villanova University on November 5th.
Rebel players are encouraged to participate in volunteer activities and mentoring services as part of the organizations “Athlete’s Giving Back” program. This program, started in 2006, was developed by former team player and current assistant coach Ryan Sankey, who started working as a volunteer for students with special needs at Log College Middle School and William Tennent High School.
Rebel Elite volunteers in local charitable events as well as United way and Special Olympic activities in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Players and staff attending Villanova event included: Rory Isdaner, Pat Kane, Sean Mingey, Andrew Sabia, Nick Swift, Garrett Walling, Adam Maiale, Amy Walling, Asst Coach Ryan Sankey and Head Coach Harry Sankey.
