Girls’ High capped off a perfect 10-0 Public League lacrosse season Friday with a 22-5 victory over Northeast HS at Gratz in the last regular season game for the league.
Girls’ High held an 8-3 lead at halftime and coasted to the win as Chasidy McLaurin poured in eight goals, Siena Childs tallied four and Shyna In and Tenee Pina had three apiece.
Somaly Kim added a pair and MaryAnne Manuel had five saves in goal for Girls’ High.
Tammy Sloan scored three goals for Northeast HS while Lorraine Alves and Mama Cresay contributed one goal apiece. Along with a 14-8 win Thursday over George Washington, Girls’ High clinched the top seed for the Public League playoffs, which begin Monday afternoon and conclude with the championship game Wednesday. All games will be played at Gratz.
In Thursday’s win, Childs scored six times and McLaurin tallied five.
