Editor’s Note: Phillylacrosse.com honors the boys’ players from Philly for the 2011 season. The All-Phillylacrosse.com teams were chosen after much discussion with coaches and other media members. The major considerations were player performance and how much the players helped their teams succeed. Tomorrow: Midfielders

All-Phillylacrosse.com 2011: Boys’ Attackmen

Ryan Ambler, Abington, Junior
All-EPSLA, Inter-Ac First Team … Had 38 goals, 53 assists … Led Ghosts to Suburban One National Conference title and 15-7 season… Selected for ESPN RISE Warrior 40 … Committed to Princeton.

Connor Frisina, Conestoga, Junior

US Lacrosse All-American, All-EPSLA, Central League First Team … Had 56 goals, 25 assists … Led Pioneers (25-1) to second straight PIAA championship, third straight District 1 title and Central League crown … Played on Philly team at Under Armour Underclassmen tourney … Committed to Delaware.

Kevin Forster, La Salle, Senior
US Lacrosse All-American, All-EPSLA, Catholic League First Team, League MVP … Had 28 goals, 26 assists … Led Explorers to 14-6 record … Had tryout with U-19 team … Signed with Maryland.

Trevor Hornby, Avon Grove, Senior

US Lacrosse All-American, All-EPSLA, Ches-Mont League First Team … Had 56 goals and 34 assists … Led Devils to 17-4 season.

Hup Hupfeldt, Haverford School, Senior
US Lacrosse All-American, All-EPSLA, Inter-Ac First Team… Had 44 goals, 22 assists … Led Fords to perfect 23-0 season, Inter-Ac League and Invitational crowns and top ranking in every national poll … Had tryout with U-19 team … Committed to Penn.

Beau Jones, Germantown Academy, Senior

US Lacrosse All-American, Inter-Ac First Team … Led Philly areas in scoring with 54 goals and 61 assists … Had tryout with U-19 team … Signed with Delaware.

Matt Rambo, La Salle, Sophomore
US Lacrosse All-American, All-EPSLA, Catholic League First Team … Scored 58 goals … Led Explorers to 14-6 record … Played on Philly Under Armour Underclassmen team … Had tryout with U-19 team.

Joey Sankey, Penn Charter, Senior
Under Armour, US Lacrosse All-American, All-EPSLA, Inter-Ac First Team, Inter-Ac Co-MVP … Had 58 goals and 51 assists … Collected 177 career goals and 151 assists… Led Quakers to Inter-Ac Invitational semifinals … Signed with North Carolina.

Carl Walrath, Haverford School, Senior
Under Armour, US Lacrosse All-American, All-EPSLA, Inter-Ac First Team… Had 28 goals, 40 assists … Led Fords to perfect 23-0 season, Inter-Ac League and Invitational crowns and top ranking in every national poll … Had game-tying and game-winning goals in final 37 seconds of 5-4 victory over Malvern Prep in Invitational finals … Signed with Virginia.
