The top-seeded Cloud Splitter defeated the Philly-based Gray Eagles, 9-3, today in the championship game of the Super Grand Master’s division of the Lake Placid (N.Y.) Summit Lacrosse Classic.
The Gray Eagles, seeded only seventh, worked their way through to the finals by winning both its games in Group C Wednesday and whipped the second-seeded Ultra Legends, 10-4, in the semifinals.
Also Thursday Philly-based Team Harley (top seed) advanced to the semifinals of the Grand Master’s division (11-team field) by handily winning both of its games. Team Hartley first routed Cloudsplitter, 17-4, and then whipped CVLC, 14-1.
Team Harley meets fourth-seeded Sailin Shoe in the semis Saturday at 2:30 p.m. The title game is Sunday at noon.
