Notre Dame Academy senior attack player Katie Blumenthal has committed to play lacrosse at Division III Gettysburg College.

Blumenthal scored 58 goals last year for the Irish, helping them finish 14-5 and tie for second in the Inter-Ac League. She was named first team All-Inter-Ac for the second straight year and also was an Honorable Mention All-Phillylacrosse.com selection.

Blumenthal participated in the 2009 National tournament for the Philly 2 team and was named Notre Dame’s Offensive MVP in 2008 when she had 63 goals and 53 assists. Her career scoring totals are 144 goals and 116 assists. She plays club lacrosse for the Phantastix club team and is a consistent Honor Roll student.

Gettysburg is coached by Strath Haven graduate Carol Cantele, also the head coach of the U.S. Developmental team.
