The Abington B1’s defeated Ashbee, 8-5, to claim the Southeastern Pennsylvania Youth Lacrosse Association Sunday at Upper Dublin’s SPARK complex.

Abington scored two quick goals early in the first quarter and never relinquished the lead.  The win was a true team effort with six different Abington players scoring goals.

In the third quarter, the Abington defense kept its composure and shut down a serious rally by Ashbee.  The defensive effort was led by goalie Nate Mann who provided some acrobatic saves.

The team consisted of: Michael Bown, Eric Carr, Justin Cole, Owen Davis, Jesse Frazier, Jesse Greenberg, Jamie Griffin, Robert Keehfuss Jr., Stephan Leach Jr., Cameron Leech, Joseph Lomady, Connor Loughran, Nathaniel Mann, Ruben Narine, Cody Sweeney, James Vandegrift, Patrick Wescott and John Wink.
