Archbishop Carroll senior attack Margo Lesher has signed a National Letter of Intent to play Division I lacrosse at Sacred Heart University.

Lesher was a member of the Patriots’ ninth straight Catholic League championship squad in 2009. They went 15-6 overall and reached the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association tournament. She also plays for the Phantastix club team.

Lesher is considering either Business of Education as a major.

“After visiting Sacred Heart several times, I realized I loved the town, coach, and location,” she said of Farield (CT) campus.

Lesher is one of three Archbishop Carroll seniors to sign a National Letter of Intent. The others are Genni Hull, (American) and Jamie DePetris (New Hampshire). Aimee Gennaro has committed to Navy.

Lesher has set high goals for the Patriots coming into the 2010 season. “If we work as a team and try our hardest, maybe we can get to states,” she said.
