Four Temple women’s lacrosse players earned weekly honors from The American Athletic Conference to open the 2026 season following the Owls’ win over Drexel. Sabrina Martin was named Midfielder of the Week, Riley Horoshko (Allentown Central Catholic) earned Goalkeeper of the Week honors, Brooke Mazzei was selected Freshman of the Week, and Lexi Culp (Cardinal O’Hara) received an Honorable Mention.
Senior Martin recorded her fourth career hat trick, leading the Owls with four goals while also pacing the team with six caused turnovers. Martin is currently tied for first in the NCAA in caused turnovers per game (6.0).
Senior goalkeeper Horoshko made six saves in 28 minutes of action, posting a .750 save percentage in the victory.
Freshman Mazzei made her first collegiate start and netted her first career goal, which gave Temple its first lead of the game.
Senior Culp led the Owls in points with five, recording her first career hat trick along with two assists.
UNC’s Felter (Penn Charter) is ACC Offensive POW
North Carolina senior attack Darcy Felter (Penn Charter) earned Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week honor.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF WEEK – Darcy Felter, Sr., A, North Carolina (Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania)
• Matched her career high with five goals on only six shots in the Tar Heels’ 19-11 road win over No. 19 James Madison.
• All of Felter’s six shots were on goal.
• She converted one free position to go along with two groundballs.
