Archbishop Carroll has announced the hiring of David Smith (Penn Charter) as the new Boys’ Lacrosse Head Coach.
Coach Smith brings more than 10 years of lacrosse coaching experience at the high school, collegiate, and club levels, most recently, he served as Offensive Coordinator at Lexington High School, SC. Coach Smith helped to lead the program to a Regional Championship, while producing the highest-scoring offense in Lexington High School history.
Coach Smith previously served as Offensive Coordinator at his alma mater, Penn, and Immaculata University. During his time at Penn Charter, the offense averaged more than 12 goals per game and helped develop five Division I collegiate players. At Immaculata, he helped the program reach its first conference playoff appearance. Smith graduated from Penn Charter in 2015 and later at Marywood University, playing lacrosse for both programs.
“We are excited to welcome David Smith to Archbishop Carroll,” said Athletic Director Tom Quintois. “David brings tremendous experience, knowledge of the game, and a strong commitment to developing student-athletes. We believe he is the right person to lead our boys lacrosse program and build a culture that our players, school, and community can be proud of.”
