Honoree Questions:
How do you define leadership in athletics and school?
- Strohl: “I think leadership is doing the hard things even when you don’t want to. On the field, it’s leading by example and making the tough plays like running through a ground ball or eating a hit to score a goal. In the classroom, it’s important to put in the same energy and effort that you do on the field, and set yourself up for success. I try to be a role model for the underclassmen because I remember being in their same spot and looking up to the leaders on the team.”
How do you balance academics, service, and athletics?
- Strohl: “In season, balancing these things can be hard, but it really comes down to prioritizing the things that are most important to you. Lacrosse will always be there, so I try to manage my time as best as possible. I make sure I’m getting the things outside of lacrosse done so that when practice comes, my mind isn’t fogged up and I can focus on the task at hand.”
What are your future goals?
- Strohl “Next year I will be attending the University of Tampa, where I will be studying entrepreneurship. I plan to play club lacrosse there as well. I have aspirations of one day owning my own business, and I’m excited for the opportunity to get closer and closer to that goal.”
PW Head Coach Ryan Bonnani on Drew: “Drew Strohl started his lacrosse career at a young age with the Conshy Bulldogs Youth Lacrosse Program as he then essentially transitioned to be a four-year lacrosse player at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School. Drew has worked very hard for four years not only on the lacrosse field, but in the classroom. In 2026, Drew was named one of the captains of the Plymouth Whitemarsh High School Boys Lacrosse Program, where he has helped lead our players to meet our program standards and expectations as well as compete at a very high level within the PIAA. As we have a lot of lacrosse left this season, I look forward to his hard work as well as his continued leadership.”
