Samuel Nice, 22, Perkiomen Valley and Neumann University graduate, passed away peacefully at home on April 4, 2026, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Born on April 30, 2003, to Paul and Margaret Nice, Sam lived his life with energy, humor, and heart. He had a natural ability to make others laugh and brought joy to everyone who knew him. Sam was truly one of the most genuine and lovable people you could meet.
He was passionate about motocross, video games, and sports, especially lacrosse. A proud graduate of Perkiomen Valley, Sam was a dedicated member of the varsity lacrosse team for all four years, earning First-Team Pioneer Athletic Conference honors at midfield in 2021. His commitment and love for the game led him to continue playing at the collegiate level alongside his brother, Max, at Neumann University, where he earned his associate’s degree, playing as a key member of the lacrosse team in 2022 and 2023. He later transferred to Pennsylvania College of Technology to pursue a career in welding while continuing his lacrosse journey in 2024.
Sam will be fondly remembered for his love of country music and the simple joy he found cruising in his pickup truck. Above all, he was kindhearted, loyal, and deeply devoted to his family. His strength, determination, and unwavering spirit throughout his illness stand as a lasting testament to his character.
He is survived by his loving parents, Paul and Margaret Nice; his brother, Maxwell Nice, and sister-in-law, Erin Nice; and his grandmothers, Maxine Cassidy-Gieniec and Loretta Nice. He is also lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Sam was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Chester Gieniec and Jon Paul Nice.
